eric is basically in sales and so knows how to ferret out peoples weakest points quickly and goes on the attack eric is too irresponsible and cruel to be in meetings where clients' very private issues and secrets are discussed.

Eric must have done something really really bad to one or more clients for management to have taken all his jobs away about a year ago as shown by the LifeSkills Calendar. An investigator needs to look at this/these events and if management has paid enough attention to Eric's more under the radar but still damaging acts to clients in the extra time given him because he was under so much stress.

if those who have vacations healthcare salaries and are given the authority and responsibility to make sure an abusive staff member is removed from access to using consumers as scapegoats do nothing, then it is on their souls not mine. as a client who has been repeatedly emotionally abused by eric gordon all i have the power to do is to witness and i will do that to the best of my ability. i am requesting a dmh investigator to examine written complaints against mr gordon, why he was removed from all but the art group if he is being given a second chance in cooking group and other classes to abuse more clients and to talk to therapist who have had to try to put patients back together after mr gordon was finished with them

in addition to emotional damage if eric gordon in his rage does seriously hurt a client, I don't want anyone in a responsible position to say they didn't know - after removing eric from most of his jobs he continues to abuse clients both in his art class and in the waiting room and steals and throws away client's comments in the Suggestion Box then brags to client that he threw it away. and if those jobs are now being given back to eric after a year i can only protest that eric should not be given more access to clients.

Threshold Rights and Responsibilities on our bulletin board states that one of the clients rights is to be free from emotional or physical abuse.

What can I do about Eric Gordon standing at the end of the hallway near the receptionist desk staring at me in an intimidating way (he rarely holds still, ever) when I visit my psychiatrist/therapist? Mr. Eric Gordon has been doing this since I went to try discuss problems in his class with him on November 2013 with my job coach at the insistence of my then RC Christina Taylor.

Thank you, Ms. Wilcox, for responding to my phone call about my concerns for privacy and safety in regard to my complaint about Eric Gordon.

I do not think, though, that it is a matter of my venting but of providing protection and safety for all of SLH/Cornerstone clients and staff. Mr. Gordon has been acting erratic and abusive towards clients and has showed a huge amount of rage for at least 5 years. Even though years go by, he gets worse each time I see him and his rage and threat to clients and staff will continue and get worse as he keeps testing the boundries without any consequences to him. He needs intensive, intensive therapy to come back to reality and/or Mr. Gordon needs to be banned from all St. Luke's House/Cornerstone properties for client safety.

Exit interviews, at least questionnaire on a computer program are need for staff who are leaving possibly in disgust from the way clients are treated by Mr. Gordon to identify if there are staff members abusing other staff and/or clients.

Like a child, Eric Gordon needs for SLH/Cornerstone staff to act as one and not be enabling or continue to allow Mr. Gordon to play one administrative or therpeutic person against another, pitting the "good mommy" against the "bad mommy" back up and protect Dr. Parveen who only asked him to do his job and serve all clients with an interest/background in art including providing supplies that the County Council, SLH and the recent Grant provided Mr. Gordon for all qualified patients.

I believe, Cornerstone is losing many good employees, in part because of Mr. Gordon's behavior to consumers and staff esp. those replacing him in some of his duties and/or who object to Mr. Gordon's treatment of clients that has been ignored for years by management and continues to worsen.

The Grievance Policy rightly provides protection for clients filing a formal complaint of having a meeting with Program Manager/s within 5 working days of receipt of complaint. AND FURTHER A LETTER WITHIN ANOTHER 5 DAYS STATING WHAT ACTION WILL BE TAKEN ON COMPLAINT.

I am requesting that this Grievance meeting with a Program Manager take place quickly rather than as you requested that at the receipt of my formal letter of complaint that you file it, consider it venting but still considered officially on-the-record. For my protection, I need the stated promises of the Grievance Policy to be observed.

Arlene, Bel Pre cluster supervisor, should be emailing my written complaint.

This is a matter of human life and cannot be put off or ignored any longer. Cornerstone Administration should not be acting like an abused family pretending abuse is not going on and need to act as one to protect the lives entrusted to their care.

That government Grant and other funding was given with the understanding that it would help every Cornerstone client who qualified, it is not Mr. Gordon's personal property to dole out art supplies, use of camera, share a bit of his knowlege from his Masters in Art and help with applying for gallery art shows, computer laptop, etc. to his favorite clients or hoard. And Mr. Gordon's abuse and intimidation of clients in his classes based solely on his whim or on Eric Gordon's anger at not being the only one in his art classes who have training in art. Then THE NERVE of MR. GORDON saying clients don't come to his art classes so don't qualify for help after he has said and done horrendous things to them.

There have been others who have experience/training in art/computer graphics who have been driven out of Mr. Gordon's art classes by abusive behavior. It seemed from the beginning when he was so abusive at my first visit to Radner class where everyone is supposed to be welcome that there were no limits to the way he would treat clients --who paint realistically or who have taken Computer Graphics classes --to get them to leave his classes and which are hard to talk about because they are stunningly abusive, done extremely quickly to avoid detection, and/or convoluted.

Mr. Gordon was okay to me in the year I went to his cooking classes but his sarcastic, quick, uncalled for remarks to other clients in cooking classes made me feel sick and anxious and afraid to ask to join his art classes despite intense pressure from then RCs. When I did it was worse than I possibly could have imagined. Mr. Gordon would go back and forth between a charming, fun sense of humor to a sarcastic, vicious one in the blink of an eye which was extremely upsetting and disconcerting. Gerda Sejour would say repeatedly of Eric Gordon, "He's got a MOUTH ON HIM."

No client should have to go through this and it is past time of remaining silent. I kept thinking/rationalizing Mr. Gordon was having a bad week, a bad month, a bad year. It's been 5 years and Mr. Gordon keeps getting more outrageous in his actions towards clients. Eric Gordon needs intensive therapy -- more than once a week at a facility other than Cornerstone--- to find out who he is angry at and find ways of dealing with this long-standing rage other than abusing clients he projects onto -- I can forgive but I feel that it does not even do him any good to ignore Mr. Gordon's now very out-in-the-open rage and threats to clients who want to attend Southport LifeSkills even to visit their therapist or psychiatrist by his standing and staring at client and his willingness to go to any lengths to get revenge for something he is enraged at someone in his past for and the stress of being a salesman for artwork.

I am grateful to SLH/Cornerstone and staff for helping me with food and shelter for these years and count myself lucky in this help and thank God for it, but I should also have had a chance to participate in LifeSkills events esp. the art classes and the benefits of discussing art with other clients and a reasonable amount of art supplies for my work without abuse and to see my psychiatrist without sitting in the waiting room with Mr. Gordon rooted to the spot at the end of the hallway with his intimidating staring for the past year when I visit Dr. Parveen every few months needs to be addressed in this meeting esp. since my therapist, Paula Weiss, now has her office exclusively at Southport, (which Mr. Gordon seems to believe ids his own personal property) at the time she asked me to see her at Silver Spring office about 2 1/2 years ago, partly because most clients wanted to see her at Southport due to the classes they could attend on the same day, Paula said, "if you are going to be making a complaint about Dwayne and Eric you don't want to see them all the time." I did not make a formal complaint at that time though I should have.

Medicaid/Medicare and insurance companies, Senate Appropriations for Mental Health care, fundraisers including former First Lady, Roslyn Carter and Tipper Gore who has a Consumer as her secretary, the County Council who provided some money for art supplies etc. who pay for Eric Gordon's salary and provide the supplies and space for Eric Gordon's art groups have been assured by contract that ALL clients, including myself, should have access to LifeSkills and art classes without being humiliated with insults, berating, dirty tricks, mind games or staring.

I could have done much more with my artwork both creating/producing and selling if I had had minimal help and did not have to suffer the mind games and abuse of Mr. Eric Gordon instead of receiving the promised help and access to LifeSkills classes.

I am really stymied in my work with my Job Coach by lack of the use of a camera to upload to my website. I have asked my job coach Vanessa several times if she could deliver some of my paintings to Mr. Gordon to show at Radner or elsewhere, and if he could make me a large canvas for sequences of gymnasts instead of the wrapping paper which I am now forced to use which seems a waste of oil colors and time and being shut out for 5 years because I did not want to tolerate Mr. Gordon's abusive actions in HIS artclass. If my Job Coach would act as a go-between I would not have to be the victim again of Mr. Gordon's abusive actions towards me. Christina Taylor, former RC, delivered 2 of my paintings in the Radner Museum open show last September. The artwork was kept in Ms. Cho's office or I think Eric Gordon would have made some excuse not to show my paintings.

The job coach supervisor in going through one of my portfolios complaining why didn't I use better paper about finished, professional works that obviously took a long time on brown wrapping paper or thin white paper instead of charchol paper or canvas, the supervisor complimenting canvas paper that I used for a few of my paintings -- please look at my website, who else were these supplies funded by taxpayers meant for - surely they did not intend this money to be used only for clients who paint in the Brut art way approved by Mr. Gordon???

When I started seeing Paula Weiss in the Silver Spring office 2 1/2 years ago, Eric Gordon called me, prompted I'm sure by both Paula and Dr. Parveen who had seen and liked my artwork and wanted me to be able to work with professional supplies, Eric said that though he usually didn't give supplies to people who did not attend his class but that he sometimes went to Silver Spring office and could meet with me there to discuss need for supplies. I agreed and said that I didn't just want supplies but wanted to share some of my ideas for possibly other clients exhibiting at equestrian schools since several clients had expressed a need and desire to sell work and I have many magazine photos and book of equestrian photos and that market judging by the immense number of equestrian magazines listed in library periodicals is very large.

Mr. Gordon did not let me express this but cut me off after the first few words by making a disgusted noise. Mr. Gordon called the night before our scheduled appointment to cancel. I called him left a message that I would like to reschedule our meeting. Mr. Gordon never called me back.

Cornerstone was right to relieve Mr. Gordon of his duties other than the art groups because he was under too much pressure from being asked to do too much, but I saw his incredible and increased rage when I met with him in his office on November 2013 and when I noticed in the LifeSkills Calender that he was no longer teaching many of the classes, I decided not to make a formal complaint about Mr. Gordon strangling my leather coat in his clenched fist and coming within an inch of punching me in the face at the end of a meeting also attended by my job coach, Vanessa Martinez, in which I said very few words due to his visible anger, very apparent even before we went in his office.

Mr. Gordon said at that time that he had attended a rough meeting, kept running in and out of the room in this very short meeting with me and looked very ill and upset. This is no excuse though for shoving your fist in a client's face.

I was very,very sick for about 3 months afterwards remembering other violence I had suffered and decided not to make a formal complaint when I recovered somewhat from this violently intimidating action from Mr. Gordon-- in part to have compassion on the pressure he had been under and give him time to pull himself together with what Cornerstone Adminstration had given him as a second chance with, the art classes Mr. Gordon had started with the proviso, I'm sure, that all clients in these classes be treated with dignity and fairness.

Would you go to an art class where you had been previously abused and then in a meeting to talk about differences, the staff leader of the class without any provocation almost punches you in the face, another clear message to stay away from HIS clubhouse/art class?

When I was so ill for these three months it was made worse by my therapist, Paula Weiss, who had shown the highest integrity and care for patientds in her care, uncharacteristically got very angry when I told her about Eric shoving his fist in my face about 2 weeks after it happened, Paula would not let me talk about any of the other things Eric Gordon had done to me in the past or how traumatised I was feeling, which we previously had barely touched on, she kept saying firmly and angrily "My colleague, Eric...." to interrupt and used other distractions to prevent me speaking of it.

I did not think it was possible for Paula to show anger, when I told my then RC Christina Taylor as we were walking around the building to the dentist's office that Paula was angry with me, she stopped dead in her tracks, turned around and said, "Paula??? angry???"

I did tell Paula at the end of our 2013 session, as strongly as I could, "IF YOU CARE ABOUT ERIC, GET HIM SOME HELP." I don't know if Paula tried, but Eric obviously did not get an effectual help with his rage issues.

When I was very sick at being very nearly hit in the face by a staff member who also strangled, scrunched up my somewhat heavy leather jacket including the sleeves--I would think of calling my therapist Paula since she has always been good about calling right back but her refusal to listen to a word said against Eric Gordon two weeks after it happened showed she had stopped being my therapist and started being a defender of Eric Gordon -- I think her uncharacteristic anger was because she is something of friends with Eric who can be very charming and the anger was too because Paula must have heard previously from other therapists or clients about the very inappropriate things Eric was doing and she did not want to face "a side to Eric she had never seen."

Therapists are human and their emotions can been hooked too despite training in transference. Paula at the end of our November/December 2013 session said "Maybe Eric can't help it." I thought about that and if Eric really can't control his rage and uses it often against clients, then he is even more of a danger to clients than if he were doing all of these things deliberately.

Who else can you talk about these things with if not your therapist? I was not gossiping about Eric Gordon but trying to understand what he had been doing and the recent violent event and what I should do about it TO MY THERAPIST but Paula who had always been totally professional refused even to let me talk about it.

Also clients are somewhat protected if therapists in their weekly meetings compare notes if a staff member is abusing multiple clients and Paula's anger and refusal to listen denied me and other clients this protection and Paula's anger showed she had some awareness of the ways in which Eric Gordon had been grossly abusing clients and preferred denial due to her protective feelings for Mr. Gordon.

I think Paula realized she could not be my therapist in truth and defender of Eric Gordon which is why the next visit in February 2014 with my Job Coach, Vanessa Martinez, Paula asked me if I wanted to see another therapist who had joined Cornerstone who used the arts in her therapy, I agreed and Paula said she would fill out the paperwork to transfer me to this other therapist but she never did.

Vanessa told me last week that she clearly remembers this conversation. I was later unsure about leaving Paula after so many years as my therapist but didn't mention it to anyone and the next visit just talked about forgiveness in general but thought for months that I needed to talk about what Eric Gordon had done to me and not just at the November 2013 meeting with Vanessa but before that. I have only seen Paula about 4 times since November 2013 because of this rupture in our relationship.

In my last meeting with Paula, July 2014, she let me speak a little about Eric "a side to Eric she had never experienced." but was still obviously still seeing herself as his defender with minimization of his outrageous behavior and I decided to ask Paula at our next meeting if the artist therapist she had mentioned was still at Cornerstone and to transfer me to her but after what Eric Gordon did to me on August 8, 2014 I have been too upset and it has been difficult to be essentially without a therapist since November 2013 to talk about this most important issue in my life.

By my not making a formal complaint about the November 2013 incident, I outline the result of the failure to request Administration hold Mr. Gordon accountable for his intimidating behavior-- some of what Mr. Gordon did to me when I attended his class on August 8, 2014 for the first time in several years in the section called -- MIME MOCKERY OF THE DISFIGURED by Cornerstone staff member Eric Gordon.

I don't want to contact the health editors of the Washington Post and local newspapers, the Senate Appropriations chairman, the County Council, the Advocacy Group for consumers started by Sen. Kennedy or fundraisers but if Cornerstone is going to let this most recent outrage pass without action to protect me and other clients and staff, I am not willing to keep silent any longer.

And I will also request a thorough investigation of Mr. Gordon's mistreatment of patients over a period of more than 5 years by the Montgomergy County Government's Licensure and Regulatory Services and Department of Mental Health investigators and why Mr. Eric Gordon's jobs other than 2 art classes were rapidly removed from the LifeSkills Calendar beginning around November 2013 and why the last two calendars do not list any staff members teaching the classes though this naming of staff teaching each class has been standard for years - is it because Mr. Gordon is being given back some of the jobs taken from him and admin doesn't want clients who previously complainted about abuse from Mr. Gordon to know unless they attend many of the classes?

Clients and staff should not be expected to deal with these SEVERE problems with Mr. Gordon's actions ALONE any longer. It is long past time for Adminstration to get involved.

Eventually, and maybe sooner Eric Gordon is going to really hurt a client or staff and this situation which has gone on for years can not continue to be ignored. It is not fair to clients or other staff and is jeopardizing Cornerstone and other mental health facilities reputation and funding even apart from my complaint. If a mental health agency cannot deal with a staff member who has been abusing clients for so many years and is belligerent about being disciplined for abusing and intimidating clients and just continues on doing it, who can? If Cornerstone needs help, maybe the Abused Persons Agency at Crises Center or DMH Investigators can help in how to handle a staff member who becomes more intimidating as he is called on abuse of clients.

Dr. Parveen asked me to go up the ladder with my complaint, though she hasn't stated this, I feel she needs protection and help and the fullest support of all of Administration. I was so touched when Melissa, my housemate, told me about Dr. Parveen coming out late at night to check Melissa into Fenton House.

Dr. Parveen works so hard to help patients, then Eric Gordon comes behind her and tries his best to undo her good work. Same with other staff members who really care and try to help not hurt clients. Allowing Mr. Gordon to spread such misery and anguish for so many years in exchange for selling a few paintings is not a good deal for clients, Senate Appropriations and other who have provided funding for St. Lukes/Cornerstone esp since the merger was allowed with Threshold and Renaissance and one or two other agencies.

Near monopolies are not a good idea and Cornerstone needs to be much more vigilant in protecting clients from abusive staff.

I think Mr. Gordon himself knows he needs help though he would also fight against it. About 3 years ago, when I returned to his class and told him I had met with Dr. Parveen, he gave an engaging mild smile and said quietly, "When do I get to see a psychiatrist?"

I have often wondered if Mr. Gordon has DID, Disassociative Identity Disorder since he cycles or platforms between several very different personalities so quickly.

Ms. Cho, Director, sent an open letter a few months ago stating that there were 3 Consumers on the Board of Directors. I called the receptionist at Southport who put me through to someone who rudely said to ask my RC for to research their contact information. Why should even an RC have to RESEARCH, this information should be readily available unless the 3 consumers on the board are just for show? My RC, David, has not been able to find any information. I am requesting contact information for these 3 Consumers, I believe that the Board of Directors should be made aware of what is and has been going on with Mr. Gordon from me and the threat to clients, staff, Cornerstone funding and reputation by Mr. Gordon's actions.

Eric is not mature or responsible enough to hear people secrets, very private information in staff meetings, he uses this information against them along with his training in sales how to immediately find people's weaknesses and exploit them, and a lifetime of manipulating people to bolster his very fragile and insatiable ego. Eric Gordon has a gaping hole inside of him which no amount of humiliation and abuse of clients has been able to fill, Cornerstone Management needs to stop supplying him with victims and start protecting clients and staff.

And for help in pressuring Mr. Gordon to get immediate psychiatric help from someone not remotely associated with him as "a colleague", ie, outside of Cornerstone, Montgomery.

Wine Surreptitiously Placed in Patients Food in at least One of Eric Gordon's Cooking Classes

This was about three years ago, I had hoped the young guy with the start up catering business might have made a formal complaint about Eric Gordon. I had shortly before had a Provider Meeting about Gerda Sejour, housemate who had been harrassing me and did not think it possible to make another formal complaint at that time.

This young guy, with dark hair, very tall, heavy-set, who was starting a catering business, he had given me his very nice business card in black and yellow with a close-up drawing of a chef with a silver tray and was probably in the Job Coach program -- he should be possible for a DMH Investigator to find, he seemed like he had the highest integrity-- and thanked Eric and SLH LifeSkills by donating food to the cooking class-- Eric mentioned it when we were eating a meal and then gave this young man a chance to talk to the group eating Eric Gordon's meal about how grateful he was to Eric for teaching him about cooking and grateful to St. Luke's for the LifeSkills program..

A few weeks later this same young guy was outraged when Eric wanted to put 3 tablespoons of wine in the food to be eaten by clients, this young guy and 2 much shorter girls immediately, vehemently, repeatedly told Eric Gordon that some clients have alcohol issues.

Eric Gordon said again and again trying to persuade them like a teenager who wants to do something dicey trying to persuade his parents that the alcohol would burn off in a couple of seconds and shrugging, then started saying he could use vinegar but kept pushing the flavor the wine would add, saying in a minimizing way, "it's only 3 tablespoons, the alcohol will just burn off in a minute.", shrug, the three continued to object with outrage, Eric started to reach under the counter and said "Okay I will use vinegar.", the two girls had walked away in disgust but were still in kitchen, the young guy surprised me by giving up and saying with resigned disgust, for Eric to do whatever he wanted. So Eric sprinkled the three tablespoons of wine in the food cooking in a pan. The other clients in the dining area were not informed of this action.

Eric Gordon has to disillusion even those who admire him like a little kid, if I do something this bad will you still like me, if I do something badder than that will you still love me and keeps on going until people are disgusted and turn away and don't come back then Eric complains that he has given them things, art supplies, etc. and they disappeared AND NEVER CAME BACK.

or to be complicit with Mr. Gordon in wrong doing by giving him "parental" permission for his off-the-wall actions. -- the Milgram Experiment. --- or a kind of loyalty test

It's almost like Mr. Gordon wants to get caught, possibly as a cry for help or to show off his sales skills in getting out of the trouble he created, like a drama queen, always creating some kind of upsetting situation which is not good for patients.

Eric Gordon desperately needs immediate therapy to understand why he does these things and to stop doing all manner of evil, hurting clients to get back at who he is really angry at - needs help in finding alternatives to abusing and destroying clients. He would play games with a therapist also so I hope he can find someone who is both compassionate and strong willed because Mr. Gordon will always be extremely competitive, challenging a therapist along with everyone else to wrestle him to the ground to make him do the right thing --then he is angry that he can't have his own will in every situation. A crying, screaming baby would kill if it had the strength, at a certain young point 4 or 5 years old children/people begin to develop a conscience, if Eric Gordon has one it has been seared by him and his experiences that he needs to examine and work through in another way.

Like Peter Pan the boy who never grew up. Sad. The serious young man very much more mature than Eric.

I have noted that the LifeSkills Calendar now titles preparation of "SIMPLE Dishes" which I hope means that Eric does not place cooking wine in the food at the end of the cooking process to "improve flavor" unbeknowst to most clients who are sitting in the dining area waiting for Mr. Gordon to bring in the pot or pan with lunch.

If Mr. Gordon seldom had a full house in his cooking classes it was due to his hurtful sarcastic remarks not because the food lacked flavor.

For truth in advertising Eric Gordon's Studio INSIGHT should be renamed THE THEATRE OF CRUELTY so that clients know what they are getting into when they attend Eric Gordon's "art" classes.

It must have taken Eric Gordon a long time to learn how to stick out his tongue at clients and then twist it all around in a point like a Brut painting of a demon and leave his twisted tongue out of his mouth long enough for clients/consumers/patients to get his message.

Since it took Eric so long to learn how to physically twist his tongue like that - I DOUBT VERY MUCH IF I AM THE ONLY ONE he has used it on in his latest deliberately insulting Junior High School insult.

Thought sucking in and flutter his cheeks to mock someone without teeth also shows his skill and dedication to miming mockery of disability.

Instead of his stinging "wit" Eric Gordon now relies on mime - unbelievably cruel mocking of consumers' physical disabilities.

It is not too strong a title at all considering Eric Gordon's abuse and exploitation of clients, esp. in the art class, art studio where only Eric is allowed to talk - no free exchange of ideas in Eric's totalitarian country with Eric as sole dictator and only voice.

By looking at St. Luke's calendar, Eric Gordon has been relieved of most of his former duties. I believe Eric Gordon has been removed because of formal and informal complaints by his clients who were victims of his cruel remarks, insults and games, so why is Eric Gordon still allowed to stalk around St. Luke's LifeSkills causing trouble, creating more pain for consumers and staff genuinely trying to help patients?

Eric Gordon's mocking client's physical disabilities, throwing away my housemate consumer/client Melissa Willard's criticism/suggestion in the Cornerstone Suggestion Box and the arrogance of TELLING Consumer Melissa Willard he threw away her suggestion.

Eric has been standing at the end of the hall at Southport staring at me in a threatening manner while I am in the waiting room to see Dr. Parveen for the last year, since my meeting with Eric Gordon in November 2013 promoted by my then RC Christina Taylor to talk with Eric about the abuse I suffered in his classes and where Eric strangled my leather coat as a proxy for me and shoved his fist wrapped around my leather coat in my face.

What is the procedure of compliance of making sure that clients are safe and free of harrassment by a man posing as staff at Southport??

Someone should ask how often Eric Gordon put cooking wine in what is billed as simple dishes when he taught the cooking classes - over the objections of clients who told him that many of the consumers have alcohol issues. I only witnessed him doing it once but he often does rebellious, childish things more than once.

What kind of mental health "staff" throws away client's suggestions, then brags to the client about it or who shoves his fist in a client's face if they ask him something he doesn't like?????????????

I was mostly silent at our meeting last November because from the beginning he was obviously so upset possibly over some of the minor things I had written about what he had done to me in his class, I had still hoped we could work together so did not write about the heavier more painful things that I experiences when I was still going to LifeSkills, and he mentioned having come out of a difficult meeting, Eric Gordon justified strangling my jacket and jabbing his fist in my face at the end of the meeting - to other staff later by saying I asked him to do something he didn't want to do.

So you don't dare say anything whatever to Eric Gordon in his class or elsewhere or he is justified in strangling your jacket and jabbing his fist in your face. If Eric really can't help it, he is even more of a danger to client consumers of St. Lukes House.

Eric Gordon's barely leashed rage ,though more vocally than physically acted out at that time, is why I did not go to Southport for the LifeSkill programs or the Internet access for almost 3 years except for meetings every few months with Dr. Parveen.

Paula Weiss my therapist was aware of the reason I started at that time seeing her in the Silver Spring office two and one half years ago.

The only thing that I can think of that fits Eric Gordon's statement of asking him to do something he didn't want to do is my attempts, interrupted by Eric each time, of the opportunity for sales for all clients artwork at specialized forums such as gymnastic and dance studios and esp. equestrian schools and stables, and had clipped an article about an artist who had done a 1960's Mural at a local record/cd shop --I also asked Eric if he would help me hang my artwork in gymnastics studios, I never badgered him, in fact he never let me complete more than 3 sentences at a time about any subject whatsoever in 5 years and when he would interrupt me or stonewall my questions I rarely even attempted to follow up because of his lightening quick changes to anger or rage or because I didn't know what else to say to a "leader" who refuses to answer the simpliest question or to allow me to talk. Eric apparently likes to use a variety of insults to provoke clients to react and argue and then slap them down and throw them out of HIS classes.

Why didn't Eric Gordon just say "No", instead of jabbing his fist in my face with no comment. Eric had made a disgusted noise at this very short meeting when Vanessa my young job coach who missed a lot of what was going on said to me, "And you thought it was going to be so bad." For most of the meeting Eric just talked, and talked and talked and I just listened to Eric with my mouth open and jaw dropped at his vehemence, I had not seen him for 2 1/2 years except in passing when waiting to meet with Dr. Parveen, and there was no space for me to talk about the issues CONCERNING ME THE CLIENT CONSUMER the meeting was supposed to cover.

Eric Gordon then hustled us out of his office and when I was at the Southport main exit doors a few steps away, I remembered my jacket and went back to get it, Eric unexpectedly came very quickly out of his office with my somewhat heavy leather jacket encircled COMPLETELY by his tightly closed fist, he thrust it in my face, came very close to hitting me in the face with his fist and turned away and started stalking down the hall with a rage filled look on his face.

If you want to use someone as a scapegoat and to the Junior High School type cruelties, mostly in mime now, since he was caught out too many times in using words of sarcastic cruelty, Eric used to zing people in cooking class if they did something stupid or just because he could and later I could see in the cooking class, Eric was struggling with controlling his quick sarcasm and deep hostility to clients. Now he uses mime to insult clients very quickly so no one can see and testify but his being relieved of almost all of his duties shows that some clients not as vulnerable as myself and more articulate managed to both see and complain about the abuse to themselves and others.

The 1960s "alternate" Theatre of Cruelty has gone mainstream in Eric Gordon's personal DOMAIN mistakenly called Studio INSIGHT - to gain any real insight you have to sometimes stop talking and listen and consider the ideas of others but clients are only useful as an audience for Mr. Gordon's monologues, cover for his personal ambition or as scapegoat dolls and their needs not worthy of any consideration to Eric but he is smart enough to cultivate a few consumers with outrageous favoritism and try to make trouble by using his favored clients to listen to his - deliberately audible to the victim - gossip about other clients which not all the "favored" ones respect Eric for and leave because they have a conscience and don't like being exploited to hurt other consumers.

Eric runs HIS art studio like 20 of the worst and most inefficient offices I have worked in as a temp, makes clients run a hellish gauntlet if he has chosen them as his scapegoats instead of refusing them entrance into HIS art class - drives anyone who dares to do realistic art away with all out personal attacks.

Answer me why any adult much less one in the field of mental health/illness would need to do these cruel acts to vulnerable patients especially in the vulnerable, sensitive area of artwork? Eric Gordon recently added the words to his description of Studio INSIGHT, that it was a place for client to explore their creativity "IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT".

Except for out and out physical violence, I can't imagine a less safe environment to try to create art than one of Eric Gordon's DUKE IN HIS DOMAIN, THEATRE OF CRUELTY classes. Eric Gordon needs intensive therapy to deal with his not anger but rage issues in a way that does not let him play with human beings like dolls to damage and mangle patients/clients/consumers.

The constant focus in museums and other venues for the mentally ill on "Brut" or Raw, brutal art as the only artform permitted the mentally ill leads to a feeling of violence if not actual violence.

I am working on a painting of gymnasts with no features on their faces called Sinfornio Per Addio, The Dolls of Paris, WHEN THE FACELESS ENVY THE LEGLESS. It is based on a Russian short story after World War I - set in France.

It is about doctors unsuccessful attempts to help those maimed in the war trying to make a doll-like plastic faces for patients whose faces had been disfigured or destroyed in the war.

Those with part or all of face blown off or badly scarred by fire or mustard gas who complained that those who had lost a leg or part of a leg could travel outside their apartments on crutches or wheelchairs and people soon got used to seeing men with out legs or arms but the horror of seeing disfigured faces never went away and to help patients there was an unsuccessful attempt to use plastic in a similar way that dolls are made so that the faceless could go out in public without stares of shock or insults or mockery and not have to hide in their homes.

A phrase was repeated about the horror of war and of people's cruelty WHEN THE FACELESS ENVY THE LEGLESS.

I will dedicate my painting to Eric's extreme cruelty in mocking my face, lack of teeth and denigrating comments about my looks.

So much of Eric's cruel Junior High School tricks, MIME MOCKERY and comments are so hurtful that most people do not complain even to their therapists because they do not want to repeat such terrible things said to them especially by a purported "staff" member.

ERIC GORDON is a very skilled mime. He should go on the stage and leave the mentally ill or any other vulnerable people/populations alone.

If you want to abuse people and are so insecure you need to shoot fish in a barrel, you chose to work among vulnerable populations like daycare centers, prisons or Mental HEALTH organization. There needs to be something in place to weed out such people early on before they do the type of damage to people that Eric Gordon has been allowed to VICTIMIZE for more than 5 years.

The pain ting Eric Gordon featured in HIS studio/DOMAIN on Friday August 8 of a portrait of a woman with a gruesomely slashed throat and spatters of blood - Goth and Brut art certainly should be allowed but they should not be THE ONLY ART ALLOWED. Mr. Gordon placed this painting on top of the bookcase right in my eyeline and for a short time later commented to the artist that it needed more black and continued to leave it there.

Last September, I visited the RADNER MUSEUM and pointed out to my friend Bonnie, Eric Gordon's scratchy drawing of man with angry fist upraised and over the whole figure the razor slash type of ink slashes like newspaper critics of the artist Matt Secow have described who thanked Eric for helping him but Eric Gordon is not content to work out his rage in paintings but exploits clients he selects as scapegoats or proxies to whoever he is really enraged at - as unwilling, unconsenting participants in his violent and cruel psychodramas written by and starring HIMSELF. That is what he considers his real artwork and should be upfront about his real intention when begging money from the Montgomery County Council and taxpayers.

I will include some of the photographs of REAL soldiers maimed and burned esp facially in the current wars/occupations against Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere - instead of realistic and exploitative vampire-FANTASY blood and gore.

THE REAL THING of thousands of young men and women who are currently struggling with being faceless, legless, armless and worse at Walter Reed, Bethesda Naval Hospital and other military hospitals and these wounded young men and women should not be subjected to Eric Gordon-type cruelty about their disfigurement by anyone much less art therapists/ art classes, art teachers. And his excuses about teaching consumers to toughen up by submitting to his cruel remarks and intricate and infantile "games."

Since Eric Gordon told me that I was basically on my own in submitting my artwork, I will send a photograph of my painting WHEN THE FACELESS ENVY THE LEGLESS to Phil Radner for the RADNER MUSEUM September 2014 showing of portraits and tell him how it was inspired by Eric Gordon stunning and relentless cruelties, now in mime.

Eric likes the young interns' looks and the power afforded to him by the consumers he despises and uses as cover for HIS great ambitions for HIS art and is greatly offended by physical disability and infirmity in HIS DOMAIN. Eric Gordon needs to find another place of work.

I will also ask the Montgomery County Council and the Grant makers how they like the money they have given Eric Gordon for supplies supposedly so the mentally ill can have access to creating art --if they like the way Eric Gordon is using constituents' money.

I know that Eric Gordon has testified in front of the Montgomery County Council about the need for housing for the mentally ill and Eric can be quite charming but who but politicians would know about office politics and that some well-spoken, seemingly charming people can be extremely cruel AND ABUSIVE to their staff or families or those they consider to be subhuman or negligable worth as human beings and Eric's mockery of disfigurement or awkwardness/physical incapacities or infirmities of age should be out of the question in any mental health facility.

Dr. Ziomek seems to be involved in a lot of charitable work through Jewish and Interfaith organizations maybe they should be informed as to how a staff member at Cornerstone is allowed to mock a client they tried to help because the disfigurement is still there just not as bad. Donated Dental Services might be interested as well.

Bonnie had sent me an article when encouraging me to push for Donated Dental with a photo of a woman in a group being helped by a group of dentist who had realized it was not only in Third World Countries that Americans also could not afford dentures, This woman, I believe in West Virgina, was crying because her face looked more normal after years of living without teeth or dentures. I will ask the Washington Post and the Gazette to do an article on the contrary side of a purported professional staff mocking the disfigured and driving them out of HIS art class.

What Eric Gordon did on August 8 in HIS Art Class was unspeakable and as many people in a position of responsibility and authority need to know about it. His atrocities against clients have been swept under the carpet for too long.

I lived with years of agony and referred pain from badly abcessed teeth putting blockades in my ability to work and so to get dental care, and Eric mocking the aftereffects which I have also had to live with because I committed the crime against him of caring about my art, having some training in art and computer graphics and his mission as he sees it is to chase away, kill, destroy, maim anyone who is good at art. I am by no means the only consumer/patient he has attacked in this way.

Eric, like the Highlander TV show, believes there can only be one, used to think why can there only be just one. Eric doesn't want to be just the best, he wants to be the only one with skill or knowledge of art. His insecurity would be okay if he did not use it to destroy people who have done nothing to harm him.

where is Lisa?????, until last month the staff member who transferred from Bel Pre to LifeSkills was mentioned in the Calendar - she told me that Eric had been treating her well, I think Mr. Gordon was responsible for some of Lisa's training and was replacing Eric in some of his duties such as EFC contact which this month Sept. 2014 has been returned to eric gordon -- has eric been returned the classes he was banned from teaching so that he can once again damage more clients??

Will eric be allowed to continue undermining and chasing away skilled staff members who care about clients so that he and his enabling cronies can ignore and abuse them???? Megan was wonderfully professional and caring of consumers.

2.) November 2013 Meeting in Eric Gordon's office with my Job Coach Vanessa Martinez where Eric strangled my leather jacket and clenched all of it in his fist, and drove his fist within an inch of my face

----hooked Paula's feelings to the point that someone who had professional integrity could not stand to even hear what Eric had done to me, obviously her out-of-character anger showed she had heard of Eric's atrocities against clients but her feeling were hooked so strongly it was like criticizing her son and she would not hear of it, so thought later as I was so sick and delirious for about three months remembering other violence I had suffered, in the past when in real need I could call Paula and really needed someone to talk to about the horrific aftereffects of Eric's strangling my coat and pushing his clenched fist in my face in what was supposed to be a meeting about our differences.

Christina Taylor, my RC of several years, let me down by cancelling at the last minute after months of pressuring me to meet with Eric Gordon, Christina finally asked if I would feel safe in meeting with Eric if I had an RC with me and I agreed. I think in one of the meetings, she had wind of how violently Eric Gordon objected to any discussion of his behavior in a class he feels he has a right to do anything, absolutely anything to consumers.

Vanessa Martinez, my job coach, has gotten much sharper but was very inexperienced then wanted everyone to get along and missed a lot of what he was doing.

My One Visit to SOCIAL NIGHT

Pressured by RCs to attend Social Night about 3 years ago, I was the last one seated after Eric Gordon dished out food. Mine was the only table left with space, Eric asked if he could join me, I said yes.

A young man then joined us at the table with his plate of food, graciously introduced himself, said he was a non-religious Jew who had questions about the New Testament which he had obviously read. I was wearing a cross which is probably why he wanted to talk about Christianity.

Somehow Spanish accents with a deliberate lisp were mentioned, Mr. Gordon completely took over the "conversation" which at once became a monologue as Mr. Gordon shared with us all his knowledge of Spain and accents and Andalusian and other sections/territories around Spain.

After Mr. Gordon's long monlogue in which this young man and myself patiently and politely listened to Mr. Gordon expound his knowledge, we started talking about the New Testament again, whereupon, Mr. Gordon dramatically threw his balled up paper napkin on his paper plate, stood up with the lifted plate and announced, quite dramatically that, "I don't care what religion people are as long as THEY DON'T TRY TO CONVERT ME." Mr. Gordon then, once again, put his nose in the air, turned and stalked away.

The young guy and myself were too astonished and embarrassed by this rudeness to continue the conversation. I walked around, was not interested in the movie, don't like UNO, haven't kept up with TV or newspapers in years so Trivial Pursuit was beyond me. I thought that SOCIAL NIGHT was for clients to socialize, not that clients had been hired to be listening posts for Mr. Gordon. This type of monologue was not an isolated event, it's Mr. Gordon's basic way of "communicating" with clients.

In 5 years, Mr. Gordon has not permitted me to speak more than 3 sentences at a time in his presence. It's like he loses 100 points if he allows me to complete even one sentence and is furious if I ever make it to three sentences in the ongoing inappropriate competition with clients about EVERYTHING. Eric can and will turn the least thing, something you never suspect could be turned into a competition and he is so fierce about winning this imaginary competition it is frightening to think what he will do if he "loses" so let him win and walk away shaking and shaking head.

If you want to use someone as a scapegoat, you don't want to think of them as a person which listening might endanger that dehumanization of the chosen scapegoat clients Mr. Gordon tries to repeatedly chase out of HIS personal space, which apparently is all of Southport.

I never returned to Social Night again. Later Mr. Gordon did similar things in art class if he saw me enjoying a conversation with another client including Aug 8, 2014.

Paula's story about Home Economics teacher and awkwardness I'm sure was in response to Erics making me out to be the enemy of the people because of awkwardness since he can scarcely comment on my looks or disfigurement without alienating even his ally Paula. If he doesn't like being around disfigurement or awkwardness or slowness or the elderly and infirm, he needs to find a job in another setting.

The class was conducted as you would expect an art class for the mentally ill. Megan gave us a collage project with a theme. Distributed black or white poster boards to EVERYONE. Explained, answered questions with respect, provided requested supplies easily, with no mind games.

Rushing clients at end of class or to get in van for beginning of class at Radner, had called for permission to be in class eric would not wait two minutes for me to go offline, and told me repeatedly to walk to radner, megan objected and said she has a cane, which like a badly brought up teenager or preteen eric has only impatience or worse with infirmities or any physical or emotional weakness.

First Class at Studio Insight with Elaine Substituting for Eric

Like Megan's one sub class normal nice calm atmosphere, questions answered directly and easy, even a more complicated question from a girl who had done a drawing from a photo of an ancient statue, she did the face well but asked for help in understanding the headdress, Elaine spent time pointing things out and talking with girl. Elaine volunteered some useful suggestions for the collage that I was still working on while she knitted calmly and we spoke briefly about art in general.

Eric Gordon taunting "Are you leaving now?... until the next time then." referring to the fact that in 5 years he has gotten away with stonewalling my every legitimate question and by his outrageous insults which makes attending HIS art class impossible --depriving me of art supplies, esp a large canvas and use of a camera for the work I have done in the past year and the half of the portfolio from previous years work that I cannot upload to my website because my camera broke 4 years ago -- and a chance to exhibit at SLH/Cornerstone properties, the restaurants and other places he has contacts with and Radner Art Gallery and companionship with other consumer artists.

This taunting remark was also aimed at his defiance of Dr. Parveen and Keith Ellis and others who like my work. I did not have the heart to tell Keith and the other RCs that the more they complimented my work, the more Eric would hate me and get revenge for my having cared enough about art to have spent thousands of hours practicing and learning which is on-going. Eric seems to think that having a Masters in Art exempts him from ever having to learn another thing.

I did tell Keith, my RC and David FOR MONTHS when I was being pressured to attend Eric Gordon's art classes that I was afraid of being in the same room with Eric and told them about the fist in the face and the staring. Keith seemed to promise that he and I would meet with Eric then seemed to back out so I walked the plank alone.

David stood me up for the third time in our weekly scheduled meeting on Thursday when I badly needed to talk about the previous Friday Aug. 8 class. David acts like he never heard of voicemail and has also either not appeared at housemeetings or appears hours late and never leaves a message which drives Melissa Willard my housemate wild and just before her hospitalization was white and shaking with anger as she stood in front of David challenging him as to why he would not leave a message if he were going to be late.

The same week I spoke to Arlene about getting another RC since David often stands me up, leaves me waiting an hour, later a half hour in our SCHEDULED WEEKLY MEETING at 2pm on Thursday, he gives nonsensical excuses for not leaving voicemail--Arlene said she would speak to David Minnesfield but he stood me up again, no call, no voicemail the following Thursday, I called and left a message for Arlene, David, and Keith and a voicemail for Sharon Fishman and Susan Wilcox that David had stood me up AGAIN, went to lie down and David pounded on my bedroom door and said, "You wanted to see me." in an unfriendly voice at 3:45pm, I told him our meeting had been at 2pm why didn't he leave a voicemail, said he tried to call several times, I asked why he did not wait a few seconds longer in his calls and leave a voicemail and he said that he had to drive a client home???!!!

Because of the pressure, we finally got around to recertifying my Call-N-Ride, but wait, when he returned my ID with xerox the SSDI proof of income which Christina Taylor should have left in my file and which I told David I needed was not there. So I still cannot send the doctor's form and the form I filled out and I have no more cab coupons so can't get to CVS for the passport size photo they are now requiring.

My recertification is overdue by more than a month and I may have to reapply, between Eric's shameful mockery of my missing teeth and David standing me up repeatedly or when he appears showing no interest in what I have been undergoing, no interest at all in me as a client and when he did show up would only stay 10 to 15 minutes, it has been difficult to concentrate on anything.

I had been asking David to fill out the REBOOT form so that I can have a laptop needed to go to Panera for internet access for the work I am doing with my job coach, would say he would fill out the form FOR 2 MONTHS until I complained to the above staff members.

If there are emergencies with clients, Administration might want to look at the treatment of clients by staff as a reason.

Caked, Ruined Paintbrushes a Year after the Last Time I Dared to Go To Receive Abuse at Eric's Theatre of Cruelty

A year spent not painting combination of Eric's incredible abuse and Beth's coming up behind me pushing nail clippers and other things near my eye.

one year of cooking classes with eric, rarely full, because of his QUICKLY zinging other patients with outrageous insults then acting like nothing had happened and continuing on with the class or telling a charming joke, as part of a mind game, "did that really happen, did a staff member actually say that to a client."

Alan, usually very inarticulate, trouble speaking, trying to calmly confront Eric in cooking class, saying calmly repeatedly "You just insulted me." Eric's response, "Alan, Alan I'm trying to run a cooking class now." and finally as Alan repeated the calm comment/question Eric said, "Alan, can we talk about this later." My bet is that Eric never spoke to Alan about Eric's insults to him and that Alan's therapist gave him the words to try to discuss with Eric how he was hurting people. I mentioned this event to Paula.

At one point, Eric seemed to try to stop himself from zinging patients with insults if they did something he considered stupid and got the impression that one or more clients whether they were the victims of this or just witnesses had complained to someone in the chain of command about Eric's inappropriate but very, very QUICK insults.

Despite pressure from RCs though Eric was not insulting me at the time, felt sick that he insulted other clients and wondered how I would be treated if I did go to his personal art class and it was worse than I could possible imagine, each time he went further in his pychopathic behavior, if he defys even Dr. Parveen with the support of those hooked on his personality like the usually responsible Paula Weiss, who is to stop him from damaging patients, so far no one has managed to stop him despite taking away all of his job responsiblities except the art classes.

There was some official St. Luke's material that spoke of clients having been rejected often in the communities that they live in and that LifeSkills offers a place of acceptance. In my experience that is just words and a cover for the incredible abuse and dirty tricks Eric plays on people and he even goes after staff and tries to make their work more difficult like Meagan and Dr. Parveen. They have to try to heal the clients he has damaged and with the extra time he has from having been relieved of his duties beside the art group has more time for dirty politics against those concentrated on helping clients in crises or to have a more pleasant richer life.

He does his best to undo the work of staff that cares about clients and is costing those who hired him and gave him art supplies and a room to work in and a gallery.

Cheating and Betraying the trust of those that hired him and allow him to continue to collect his salary under false pretenses of serving all St. Luke's clients

Eric's Betrayal of those that provided the Resources and Space for his so-called Studio Insight where he plays vicious mindgames with one or more patients at a time, using the rest for cover until it is there turn for eric to turn his weapons on them

I would not want to be Eric on Judgement Day all the patients he threw away like worthless kleenex will be there to speak of the immense suffering Eric caused them and which Eric now justifys in bogus ways. He will bear the Judgement of God for preventing his people from using the talents God gave them and Eric prevented them from using by withholding supplies, information, training and treating them like a pyschopath does an endless stream of victims when they choose a work environment of very vulnerable people, like children in orphanages, inmates in prison who can't get away, who probably won't be believed when trying to report Eric's viciousness, and who do not make good witnesses if they are believed. Later when I saw Nicole's beautiful green tree with a few target like circles I guessed the reason he was so upset there is a simple procedure that makes target-like circles, diamond shapes and hearts and Eric does not like to give away trade secrets even the simpliest ones. Nicole had obviously made an artistic placement and selection of just a few circles.

In cooking class, Eric would give people the information they needed to do the job but not in art class. He seemed to think his only role was distributing art supplies and then, would make a cat and mouse, come-on and put-down game of it.
